Ripley Valley - Spring Mountain

The Ripley Valley is full of incredible sights and experiences.

And with an average daytime temperature that never falls below 20ºC, conditions are perfect to get out and explore!

Spring Mountain Conservation Reserve

White Rock Drive, Redbank Plains

For spectacular scenery, cultural history and its diverse range of walking trails, this protected 2,633 hectare park is somewhere you’ll want to revisit often. Choose the easy 200m trail or test your endurance with the super-challenging 19km round-trip trail. If it’s a panoramic vista you want, check out the views of Brisbane from the many lookouts on Spring Mountain or of Stradbroke Island from Gunpit Ridge Lookout. Wow!

Orion Lagoon at Robelle Domain

155 Southern Cross Circuit, Springfield Central
Free entry: 5am – 9pm 1st September to 31st March
8am – 4pm 1st April to 31st August

Part of the impressive Robelle Domain in Springfield, just a few minutes from Amory, the vast interconnected pools of Orion Lagoon offer something refreshing for everyone. The shallow 300mm pool is perfect for toddlers, but there are deeper waters for proficient swimmers, gently sloping sandy beaches for sunbathers, water spouts and stepping stones for adventurous kids. Take the time to check out Robelle Domain Parklands, too. It’s an award-winning attraction in its own right!

Flinders-Goolman Conservation Estate

Mt Flinders Road, Peak Crossing

The 2,200 hectare Flinders-Goolman Conservation Estate is somewhere else you’ll want to spend plenty of time. Enjoy activities from bird watching to hiking. And if you have a mountain bike (or a horse!) this is a popular place to come for a ride. You can camp the night at Hardings Paddock, or just stop for a barbecue at Flinders Plum Picnic Area. So much to see and do!
